Death Notice/Obituary:

He died as a gunner of 'A' Battery, 155th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, likely at the battle of Canal du Nord.

Interestingly enough on the CWGC website it appears that on 29th September 1918 three other members of "A" Battery  were killed in action. Could it be that Gnr BUTLER was wounded in the same action and died of his wounds on 1st October 1918?
