Teesdale Mercury 22.09.1915 - Page 5: Column 2: John William Walton, son of the Hude, due home on leave today.

It is not clear to whom the detailed information in this entry relates.  The J W Walton from Evenwood deceased was a Lieutenant Corporal in the Yorkshire Regiment.  The John Willam Walton in the Mercury article has a connection to Hude and Middleton in Teesdale.  Needs more research.
