Frank was a Reservist living in Staindrop & native of Grimsby. He was the son Annie M. Robinson of Grimsby. His father was the late James Robinson, a Cemetery Labourer. In 1911 James and Annie were living at 50 Clayton Street, Grimsby which is the address given for Annie on Frank’s war record. Living with them in 1911 was a son named as Frederick, who was aged 24 and a Gunner in The Royal Field Artillery.

Notes:

 Frank joined his regiment, the 17th Lancers in August 1914 & served in France. He was killed in action on 16th November, 1914 aged 29 & is remembered on the Menin Gate memorial at Ypres.
