Wounded and invalided out.

This entry says that Thomas appears on the Bowes Museum Obelisk. There is a J W McCheyne on the Obelisk (possibly John William, who served in the Border Regiment, died and is commemorated at Thiepval - see separate entry) but no T W McCheyne. Nor is there any record of a T W on the North East War Memorials Project website. The local memorial added to this entry may be incorrect.  More information is needed to resolve this.
