Please note the time for the session on Wednesday 30th November – this will be from 10.30 to 12.00 (not in the afternoon as previously said).
The museum has a subscription for access to the library version of Ancestry on two laptops in the Reading Room. This will allow us to investigate a range of military records and other records, such as census returns for 1911 and earlier.
Several volunteers have extensive experience of using Ancestry to research WWI people – names on war memorials, in family records and in official records like voters’ lists. If you would be interested in using Ancestry to find out more about Teesdale people in WWI, why not join us for informal, hands-on sessions? We can provide you with some real examples to try out!
The sessions will be on:
We will have to limit numbers, so please let us know when you would like to come. We’ll happily arrange further training sessions if necessary. If you’d like to know anything more about the training sessions, please email email@example.com.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 01833 690606 and speak to staff at Reception.
